what is poverty?
To recognize hardship, we must understand its relationship to inequality. In perspective, the reason there is inequality is unequal rights, yet hardships persist in the broader perspective. Individuals become destitute and are found without food, money, and the necessities of life. And the disparity continues to grow.
In the past, inequality was only recognized as the absence of equality. That is, not having equal earnings, chances, legal rights, and so on. Now we’re coming to realize how poverty has been accepted and embedded into our society and others like it around the world. over a quarter of the world’s population is living in poverty, and we need to do something about it.
